Your perfume, composed for you

You choose up to four top notes, four heart notes and four base notes, then the concentration and the bottle. We turn your choices into a formula, balance it so the notes arrive in the right order, blend it by hand in our atelier, and rest it in the cellar before it is filled. Your bottle carries its own formula number, so we can make it again.

Most custom perfumes leave us three to four weeks after you order. The blend rests in our cellar for about three weeks before it is chilled, filtered and filled. Blends built on oud or other resinous bases need up to six weeks, and the configurator tells you so before you order. The Maceration process page explains why the wait is worth it.

Yes, and we recommend it. Choose the 2 mL sample as your bottle size and your blend costs from €12. It is made exactly as the bottle would be, so what you wear for a week is what you will receive. If you order the bottle afterwards, we make it from the same formula.

Tell us what you would change within 30 days of receiving it. We will adjust the formula once, free of charge, and send you a new sample. Perfume is personal, and a first formula is a starting point rather than a verdict.

The concentration of perfume oil in the alcohol. An eau de toilette is about 10% and lasts four to five hours: light, bright, easy to renew. An eau de parfum is about 18% and lasts most of a day. An extrait de parfum is about 25%, stays close to the skin and lasts twelve hours or more. The same formula smells a little different at each strength; the richer the base, the more an extrait suits it.

No. A newly filled perfume can smell of alcohol for the first minute on skin, and it goes on softening for its first weeks in the bottle. Keep it upright, cool and out of the light, and it will round out. Many clients find their perfume at its best in its second month.

Yes. We keep every formula we make. Reorder from your account, or write to us with the formula number on your label, and we will blend it again. Bring or send back an empty bottle and we will refill it for the price of the perfume alone.

Shipping is free on every order of €100 or more. Below that it is a flat €6.90. Your basket shows how much more would make your order ship free.

Never. Nothing we make or buy is tested on animals, and every blend is made with organic grain alcohol. Our formulas follow the IFRA standards for the safe use of fragrance materials.

Yes. Compose a blend for someone you know well, or give a sample so they can find their own. Every bottle ships in our house box, and we never put a price in the parcel.
