Perfume, made for one person at a time
Parfums Nadi is a small perfume atelier on Duftgasse in Veldenmark. Since 2014 we have composed perfume to order: blended by hand, rested in our cellar, and bottled only when it is ready.
Why a perfume house makes perfume to order
A perfume is chosen in a shop in about a minute, from a strip of paper, and then worn for years. We started Parfums Nadi because that never seemed like enough time, and a strip of paper never seemed like the right place to decide.
So we work the other way round. You tell us what you like to wear, what you have loved and what you never want to smell of again. We compose a formula from the notes you choose, blend it by weight, and let it rest until the materials have become one perfume. What you receive has been made once, for you, and it carries its own formula number on the label so that we can make it again.
Nadi is an old word for a channel, the way water finds its course. It is how we think about a perfume: not a single smell but a movement, from the first bright minute to the last warm hour on skin.
The atelier
Our organ holds a little over three hundred materials: citrus oils pressed in Calabria, Grasse jasmine and tuberose absolutes, vetiver from Haiti, and the modern molecules that make a perfume clean, bright or long-lasting. Every formula is weighed by hand on a precision scale, and every blend is smelled on skin before it goes into the cellar.

Time in the cellar
Freshly blended perfume is sharp and a little disjointed. The materials need weeks together in the dark before they behave as one, and no amount of money shortens that. Every bottle we send has rested in our cellar first, which is why a custom perfume takes the time it does.
The maceration processStart with a sample
Compose a blend, order it as a 2 mL vial, and wear it for a week before you commit to a bottle. If it is not right, tell us why and we will adjust the formula.
